The Hotel is part of a complex of traditional buildings, renovated in keeping with the architectural style of the Aeolian archipelago. With charming views of Panarea, Stromboli, Lipari and Vulcano, it is also possible to admire the active volcano of mount Etna.

Nearby the Hotel, there is the lighthouse and the small salt-lake of Lingua, to which the island owes its name. Today the lake is home to migratory birds such as herons and pink flamingos.
